Description

The 10/100M Ethernet DaughterCard has been designed as a communications upgrade for Texas Instruments TMS320 DSP Starter Kits (DSK). The daughter card is based on the AX88796 Ethernet Controller from ASIX Electronics Corporation, which performs the MAC and PHY layers of the Ethernet communication standard, as well as providing 8k*16bits of FIFO buffer memory.

The schematics of a previous version daughtercard (DaughterCard-Eth-v2) was also open-sourced under the BSD license as a part of this project (ucos-lwip-c6x), and everyone can download it from our file release.

The ethernet daughtercard has been designed compliant with "Texas Instruments TMS320 Cross-Platform Daughtercard Specification v1.0". So, it should support Texas Instruments TMS320 C5000 and C6000 DSKs. (The driver for TMS320 C6711 DSK and C6713 DSK were available in this project with source code, and that could be used as a driver template.)

As a result of this project, the lwIP TCP/IP Protocol Stack and uC/OS-II real-time OS has run together very well on TMS320 C6711 DSK or C6713 DSK with this daughtercard. And, you can also use lwIP just on DSP/BIOS if you like.
